ShotFlow offers two options for Barcode encoding:
- Code 128 is the ShotFlow preferred encoding as it supports additional functionality that Code 39 does not
- Code 39 may be better for extremely small labels, due to lower data density (better readability at smaller sizes)
Supported characters in each standard:
Code 128 (Recommended):
Upper and lower case characters (a-z and A-Z), numbers (0-9) and the following special characters:
- . (Period)
- - (Dash)
- _ (Underscore)
- $ (Dollar)
- / (Back Slash)
- + (Plus)
- % (Percent)
- whitespace
Code 39:
Upper case characters (A-Z), numbers (0-9) and the following special characters:
- . (Period)
- - (Dash)
- $ (Dollar)
- / (Back Slash)
- + (Plus)
- % (Percent)
- whitespace
