What’s New?
- View order in a table menu be configured for each Role. Previously, a View could be set as default for a Role, but the order of Views displayed in the menu on each table were always alphanumeric. Now, a user with the Manage role permissions, tables, views, and visuals permission can define the order of the Views for each table visible to the Role. This supports setting a View order that may better align to the order of a workflow, or more popular Views can be moved above less popular Views.
- Support for XLSX and CSV file types as attachments. The "File" field type can now be configured to include XLSX and/or CSV files. This function is primarily intended for use with Request records, where the user wants to submit a list of data, such as SKUs that need photography. An Automation can be configured by SF Professional Services to generate a web hook, which can automatically retrieve the XLSX or CSV file and process it through Data Ingest to produce Product Parent/Children, Samples, Shots, or almost any kind of records based on a custom Data Ingest configuration.
- New Manage Settings permission related to the Application. Roles with this new permission will see a "cog wheel" icon next to the application name for accessing Application Settings (see below)
- New application settings to support ShotFlow Network. Applications settings are available for roles with the new Application / Manage Settings permission (see above), related to the November ShotFlow Network launch. This includes toggling the status of an app as public or private, and a rich text panel for adding descriptive information about the app which will be visible to all ShotFlow users who select a public app.
What Did We Change?
- Purge Records permission has been split from Delete Record. Previously, all users with the Delete record permission also had access to a "Purge Table" function under the [More] button. This presented the possibility of a user inadvertently purging all records from a table without fully understanding the implications. The "Purge Table" function is now only visible to roles with a new permission called Purge records that is only available to ShotFlow Super Admins by default. Users who wish to add this permission to their role should submit a support ticket requesting it. Note that even for roles with the new Purge records permission, an additional step is required to execute the "Purge Table" function, by manually typing PURGE in a confirmation field.
- Changing layout of report row retains the data already entered. Now existing data is retained if a report row is changed to a different number of columns, making it easier to modify report layouts without re-creating existing elements.
- Improved relationship creation validation on inherited tables. Added new checks to validate additional relationship creation ordering.
What Did We Fix?
- System checks to confirm a resource name is at least one alpha character. When an app, table, field, etc. is created, the system confirms the resource name is at least one alpha character when saving.
- Updated error message when unable to retrieve relationships for nested views. Prior error was a generic "Oops something went wrong."
- A typo in the data ingest prep message. The ingest prep message has never been altered. Perhaps your eyes played tricks on you, citizen? We have always been at war with Eastasia.
