If you're missing Metadata in your image files, there are a few steps you can take to determine the issue.

No Metadata (Processed File)

1. Check the Capture One Session Folder (or SubFolder) and confirm that the capture has a corresponding .XMP file (XMP sidecar)

2. If yes, confirm that the Process Recipe in Capture One is set to the specs listed here: Recommended Capture One Pro Settings for use with Capture Module

3. If no, confirm that the Shot shows as Connected in ShotFlow while capturing (Camera icon shows and the Capture One Status icon in the lower left of ShotFlow capture is not red)

4. If steps 1-3 are confirmed as working, follow steps for "Missing Values in Metadata (Adobe Panels)" or "...(DAMs)" depending on where you are attempting to review the metadata.

Missing Values in Metadata (Adobe Panels)

1. Complete Steps 1-3 above if no metadata is showing.

2. Confirm that the ShotFlow Extension is enabled. If the panel isn't showing, navigate to Windows->Extensions and ensure that "ShotFlow" is checked.

3. Confirm that the missing values in the Adobe Panels are present in the Web Interface (Platform).

4. Uninstall and reinstall the Metadata Panels: Installing ShotFlow XMP Metadata Templates on capture Stations or Installing ShotFlow XMP Metadata Templates on other Mac OS systems

5. If issue persists, follow the guidelines provided below in "Reporting Missing Metadata Issues."

Missing Values in Metadata (DAMs)

1. Confirm that the missing values are present in the PIM or system of record.

2. Confirm that the missing values are present in the Ingest file sent to ShotFlow.

3. Confirm that the missing values are present in the fields in ShotFlow.

4. Confirm that the missing values are present in the XMP sidecar files.

5. Confirm that the missing values are present in the ShotFlow CEP panels. (See above for Adobe Panels)

6. Confirm Capture One settings are optimized for embedding ShotFlow metadata. Recommended Capture One Pro Settings for use with Capture)

7. Check mapping with DAM. If the field labels no longer "match" (e.g. was Name, but is now Talent_Name), another field from a different table with same field label was added to the metadata.  When you have two fields with the same name in the XMP (e.g. Grouping Name and Talent Name), each field is prepended with the table name to uniquely identify both fields.

8.  If issue persists, follow the guidelines provided below in "Reporting Missing Metadata Issues."
