As long as the "Keyboard Modifiers" in your System Preferences are set to default as shown in the screenshot below, there are a few keyboard shortcuts that are used in the Grid Edit of a table view. (Screenshot shows MacOS System):
All references to Mouse Click below should be contained within the cell itself and not within the padded area of the cell.
Mac OS
Option + Mouse Click - makes the initial selection (the value that will be copied/pasted to all selected cells).
Shift + Mouse Click - makes a contiguous selection either up and down from the initial selection.
Control + Mouse Click - selects or deselects cells that are not adjacent to one another.
(Hold the option key, then click into the first cell, release. Then hold the shift key and click into the final cell of the series that the value should populate into.)
Windows OS
Alt Key + Mouse Click - makes the initial selection (the value that will be copied/pasted to all selected cells)
Shift + Mouse Click - makes a contiguous selection either up and down from the initial selection.
Control + Mouse Click - selects or deselects cells that are not adjacent to one another.
(Hold the Alt key, then click into the first cell, release. Then hold the shift key and click into the final cell of the series that the value should populate into.)
Once the cells are selected, click Apply in the lower right to copy the value from the first cell into the additional selected cells.
After the changes have been applied, choose Save Changes to commit the changes and update the field(s).
In the event that you don't see the Apply button after making your cell selections, please try clearing your internet cache, reloading your browser and try again.
