What’s New?
- Nested Views now navigate to the related table to enable interaction with the related records. Prior behavior was to display the nested view records within the current table, but no record interaction was supported. Now the selection of a nested view navigates the user directly to the related records, with full table functionality, based on the user's permissions:
- Record level functions (Edit record, Clone record, Delete record)
- Grid Edit
- Actions (buttons)
- View controls
- Management of Actions, Forms, Fields, and other table-related features (based on permissions)
Each time a nested view is selected, the table in the nested view becomes the active one, and the record(s) selected in the prior navigation step(s) are shown in the top header as "breadcrumbs" for visual reference as well as reverse navigation to a prior step.
This new navigation method will greatly reduce or even eliminate the need for many users to "hard navigate" from the left pane Tables panel. Some roles may wish to have their nested views re-configured based on this change, and there may be cases where some Dynamic Related Records are no longer needed due to the additional visibility provided by Nested Navigation. Removal of Dynamic Related Records fields will increase the loading speed of views.
Clients with sandbox apps have had access to this functionality for testing and training since 9/26.
To learn more about this major new feature, you can access the recording of our "Tables & Hops" Special Event on 9/24/2020. The password to view the recording is T4bl3s&H0p5
What Did We Fix?
- Label printing in Firefox. When attempting to print labels using the Firefox web browser, only one label was being processed even if multiple records were selected.
- Label printing in Safari. When attempting to print labels for a second time in a session, things got wacky. Now, unwacky.
