OS versions: 10.14 (Mojave), 10.15 (Catalina)
Capture One Pro versions: 12 (Mojave), 20 (Catalina)
Access to a ShotFlow “2.0” platform studio app
NOTE: If you are upgrading from ShotFlow capture 2.0.x, please be aware that there are significant technical changes to ShotFlow capture to support the new ShotFlow “2.0” platform, and this release is NOT backward compatible with ShotFlow “1.0” (QuickBase).
Upgrade Procedure
- Download ShotFlow capture 2.1.3 from Box.com
- Extract the files from the ZIP archive
- Drag any older ShotFlow capture releases to the trash
- Launch ShotFlow capture 2.1.3 and log in
What’s New?
- Initial support for MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) and Capture One 20. This release has been tested for initial compatibility with the latest Mac OS and Capture One releases, although we have not run a full regression test against all features, which will be completed for the next release. For users working in these environments, please report any unexpected issues.
- Adapted Contextual Menu for multiple shots. The contextual ("right click") menu on the Shots List View has now been adapted to work with one shot or multiple shots, dependent on how many are selected when the menu is engaged. Now you can (for example) mark multiple shots completed with one action after selecting them. Multi-shot selection mirrors MacOS behaviors (SHIFT-click, COMMAND-click, etc.)
- Support for PDF files in Style Guide window. Clients utilizing PDF files for Style Guide imagery can now see them displayed locally.
- Style Guide window retains size and position after "tear off." Now when the Style Guide window is detached, its size and position are retained from Shot to Shot, so a window layout can be defined that stays fixed as you move through the Shot List and new Style Guide imagery is updated in the window automatically.
- Added ability to manually locate the install files for Adobe CEP panel installation when they can't be automatically detected. This addresses install issues across various MacOS versions that can behave in ways the installer script cannot automatically adapt for.
- Support for utilizing field values from the Samples table in capture subfolder names.
What Did We Fix?
- Added missing Adobe Bridge 2020 CEP Startup Script installation
- Fixed not building table on load if no images are selected
- Fixed rare but annoying EvalScript error on panel load in Bridge & Photoshop
- Fixed a crash caused by missing or incomplete Product Lookup Field CM Settings
Known Issues (Carried over from prior releases)
When adding multiple products or scanning multiple barcodes, if any are "invalid" (not located in the Samples table of the related brand app), there is no confirmation of those invalid products.
Nested child Shots are not sorting as expected (ignoring the sort parameter).
When there is more than one Shot List assigned to a Set, and one Shot List has Talent assigned with the Talent window open, Shots captured on the other Shot List(s) “inherit” the Talent metadata and Shots are linked to the Talent records
Future Enhancements
Continued testing of MacOS Catalina (10.15) and Capture One 20 to confirm all functionality is supported.
Developing a new UI for “product centric” capture workflows, to supplement the current “shot centric” List View
