Exact Match Release (deployed 4/23/2021)

Modified on Sat, 24 Apr, 2021 at 9:20 AM

What’s New?

  • "Exact Match" List Search selection. In addition to the recent enhancements to List Search deployed late last month (Release Notes), today's release adds a new "Exact Match" checkbox to limit List Search results to only records where the field perfectly matches the string. For example, with "Exact Match" selected, searching for a SKU value of "12345" would NOT return a record with a SKU value of "123456". If "Exact Match" is not selected, List Search behavior is unchanged from the prior release. Note that the state of the "Exact Match" checkbox is retained when saving a List Search as well as cached in the current user session.
  • New Mobile-specific Role Visuals. A new type called Mobile has been added to the Visuals component of each Role. Five new Mobile-specific Visuals have been added to support future-state role-based dynamic configuration of the Samples & Styling Mobile App. These new Visuals are visible to roles with the Manage role permissions, tables, views and visuals permission, and currently have no functionality tied to them. Once these Visuals are tied to a future Samples & Styling Mobile App release, they will enable configuration of role-specific visibility to specific Mobile App functionality in the Mobile App.
  • UI Improvements to Calendar Event configuration screen. Removed color selection from the "Available Events" panel, added a "Color" label above the color selection box.
  • Additional information available about Views when assigning to a Role. A new "Information" (i) icon has been added to each View when assigning to Roles. Hovering displays Created By {user}, Created Date and Last Modified Date of the View, to provide more context.
  • New "Revisions" function for each field, with dedicated permission. Roles with the new "View table field revisions" permission will have a new [Revisions] button when viewing current table fields. Selecting the [Revisions] button provides a detailed history of all revisions made to the field, from creation point forward, including who changed the field parameters, when they were changed, and the specifics of each change.
  • New "Revisions" function for each Table Action, with dedicated permission. Roles with the new "View table actions revisions" permission will have a new [Revisions] button when viewing current table Actions. Selecting the [Revisions] button provides a detailed history of all revisions made to the Action, from creation point forward, including who changed the Action parameters, when they were changed, and the specifics of each change.

What Did We Change?

  • Record-level actions and selection boxes now stay visible when scrolling table views to the right. Previously the left panel record-level tools would scroll off-screen if the user scrolled to the right. Now they come along for the ride to make it easy to take action(s) without "return scrolling"!
  • Only SF Super Admins can create/edit/delete “Related Dynamic Record" field type. Due to the configuration complexity of this field type and the potentially significant impact on the performance of Views that include this field type, the management of these fields has been restricted to SF Super Admins until further notice. Any requests for creation, editing or deletion of these fields will be handled via Support tickets.
  • Wording when setting up a new account password. Users being prompted to "Create a Password" now see that wording instead of just "Password."
  • Logo update. We've replaced the old ShotFlow logo with our colorful new one!

What Did We Fix?

  • Chart drill down activity was generating "rogue" Saved Searches. This was spooky and weird and we'd just rather not talk about it anymore.
  • A search in one table was being applied to the Nested View of a related table. Each layer of the Nested View should now correctly reflect only search criteria applied at the current table level.
  • Views in dashboard report not sorting accurately. The View would sort correctly upon drill down from the dashboard, but Views were not always sorting correctly when initially displayed from the Dashboard. Fixed!
  • Right sidebar does not snap to window after window resize. Intermittently, the right sidebar would not appear in the correct position after a window was resized, but would appear in the prior position of the window and remain "stuck." This should behave itself now.
  • Sort Order of some Views not maintained in Export. If a default Sort Order is set in a view, and that view is exported, the Sort Order is retained. Some views didn't want to play nice, but we got them back in line.
  • Inability to reorder related records when Sort Order value is set for some apps. If Sort Order is set for a relationship between records, those related records are now able to be easily sorted via dragging and dropping.
  • SF-S1003 error displayed when deleting records. Although the deletion was successful, this error was thrown by a related "cleanup" process and has been corrected.
