What’s New?
- Favoriting functionality has been added to Reports, Charts, and Calendars. The functionality to flag favorite Views, which was deployed with the SuperViews release in January, has been extended to Reports, Charts, and Calendars. This functionality now behaves identically across all four primary ShotFlow components (Views, Reports, Charts, and Calendars).
- View by summary card or list has been added to Reports, Charts, and Calendars. The same user experience of seeing "summary cards" with the option to display a list of items, that was introduced in the SuperViews release for the Views panel, has been migrated to Reports, Charts, and Calendars. This functionality now behaves identically across all four primary ShotFlow components (Views, Reports, Charts, and Calendars).
- Display by table has been added to Charts and Calendar Events. The functionality to display the relevant items by selecting a table, which was deployed with the SuperViews release in January, has been extended to Charts and Calendar Events.
- Performance increases related to loading Charts, Reports, and Calendars as summary cards. When accessing a panel that displays Charts, Reports, Calendars, or Events as summary cards, the system loads less data to enable faster display of large quantities of summary cards.
What Did We Change?
- Charts are now assigned by role. Previously, if a user's role included the Charts Role Visual, all charts in the app would be available to that user when accessing the charts panel. Now, charts are assigned to the role via a new Charts column in the roles panel. Users that do not have explicit access to a chart in their role will no longer have access to it. For new charts created by a user, the chart will only be accessible to users in the same role until it is explicitly added to other role(s), with the exception of roles with equal or greater permissions (including ShotFlow Super Admins) that will have immediate access to the chart. This role-based functionality now aligns with the changes introduced to Views in the SuperViews release.
- Reports are now assigned by role. Previously, if a user's role included the Reports Role Visual, all reports in the app would be available to that user when accessing the reports panel. Now, reports are assigned to the role via a new Reports column in the roles panel. Users that do not have explicit access to a report in their role will no longer have access to it. For new reports created by a user, the report will only be accessible to users in the same role unless it is explicitly added to other role(s), with the exception of roles with equal or greater permissions (including ShotFlow Super Admins) that will have immediate access to the report. This role-based functionality now aligns with the changes introduced to Views in the SuperViews release.
- Calendars are now assigned by role. Previously, if a user's role included the Calendars Role Visual, all calendars in the app would be available to that user when accessing the calendars panel. Now, calendars are assigned to the role via a new Calendars column in the roles panel. Users that do not have explicit access to a calendar in their role will no longer have access to it. For new calendars created by a user, the calendar will only be accessible to users in the same role unless it is explicitly added to other role(s), with the exception of roles with equal or greater permissions (including ShotFlow Super Admins) that will have immediate access to the calendar. This role-based functionality now aligns with the changes introduced to Views in the SuperViews release.
- Manage role reports permission has been changed to manage role items and is now tied to views, charts, reports, and calendars. This permission now enables any user in a role to assign views, charts, reports, and/or calendars to other role(s). This permission is cascading in two respects:
- A role can only assign views, charts, reports and/or calendars to a role that less total permissions than their own role
- Only views, charts, reports and calendars available to the user's current role can be assigned to another role
What Did We Fix?
- Edit {pencil} icon is more visible in light mode. Previously this icon was white against light gray when operating in light mode, so there was very little contrast. The icon is now green instead of white, making it stand out better and communicating that the user can update the data (green means go!)
