Setting Shot List Goals (Set Statistics Panel in ShotFlow Capture)

Modified on Fri, 12 Aug, 2022 at 11:18 AM

The Set Statistics panel in ShotFlow capture enables the on-Set team to track their progress against predefined Goals across all Shot Lists on a Set. The goals are set at the Shot List level, so different goals could be set for each Shot List (for example, a morning Shot List might have goals that differ from an afternoon Shot List). The Set Statistics panel will show a summary of all Goals across all Shot Lists assigned to that Set.

To set Goals, you must enter values in the Goal fields on each Shot List. If the default goals are the same for multiple Shot Lists of the same workflow (ie, On-Model, On-Form, Flats, etc), they should be set in the Shot List Templates to carryover when creating a new Shot List via cloning. The default value(s) can always be updated on an individual Shot List during clone from the Template or at any point after.

Goal (Deadline): Input the date and time of the fixed deadline.

Goal (Groupings): Input an integer to represent the number of Groupings to be completed as a Goal.

Goal (Products): Input an integer to represent the number of Products to be completed as a Goal.

Goal (Samples): Input an integer to represent the number of Samples to be completed as a Goal.

Goal (Shots):  Input an integer to represent the number of Shots to be completed as a Goal.

Goal (Time): Input a duration; it must be input as seconds, so 3 hours is 10800 seconds.

How the Goals are shown in capture:

Goal Deadlines across all Shot Lists on a Set

If only one Goal (Deadline) value is present across all active Shot Lists, Capture will display the value in the Set Statistics panel Deadline Goal box, displaying the contents of the field in the same way the field is formatted on platform, e.g. MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm (or however the field display config is set). If no value is present in the field for any active Shot List, Capture will display “No Goal.”

If more than one Goal (Deadline) value is present across all active Shot Lists, Capture will display the earliest value (closest deadline) in the Set Statistics panel Deadline Goal box as well as a “Shot List:” label followed by the Shot List Name below the “Remaining” label.

Beneath the displayed value, Capture will display a “Remaining” label with a running countdown of the remaining day, hour and minute count until the displayed deadline. If no value is present in the field, Capture will display “N/A.”

The goal shows a donut chart with a percentage calculated from the time the first Shot was marked In Progress (in the same manner as the Time goal) to the calculated deadline.

Completed Fields

When a Shot List is marked Completed, the Completed Goals fields are also populated (in addition to the fields that have previously populated such as Completed By, Completed On, and Completed At).

Completed (Groupings) - Integer field

Completed (Products) - Integer field

Completed (Samples) - Integer field

Completed (Shots) - Integer field

Completed (Time) - Duration field

Completed (Deadline) - Date and Time field

In cases where there are no Goals with values, the actual completed data should still be auto-completed when the Shot List is marked completed. This enables tracking of actuals if a Goal was not set (in error or for whatever reason), as well as adding Goal information after the fact to enable comparison with actuals as a retroactive exercise.
