Tables
If you see Tables in the left navigation pane, this means you have permissions to edit table forms, fields, labels and/or actions. You will no longer navigate to this section to see the Views (which contain the actual data records).
To learn more about managing Tables and table elements, please refer to the following:
Views
To access Views, first navigate to the Views section in the left navigation pane. The views that your Role has access to will appear.
You can choose the Card view or the List view by toggling the View icon at the top. When the Grid icon is blue, you will see the card view. When the Line icon is blue, you will see the List view.
You can choose to search for a View by Name or by the Table it originates on. Enter at least 3 characters in the [Search Views] box and then choose Name (default selection) or choose Table and then choose the Table from the dropdown menu.
Each user can choose Favorite Views, or Views that will appear at the top. To mark a View as a Favorite, simply choose the Heart icon. An empty heart is not a favorite, while a filled heart is a favorite.
In either Card or List view, you are able to take actions on the View (dependent on your role's permissions).
View - Displays the View
Edit - Modify the View
Clone - Create a new View using the existing View as a starting point
Delete - Delete the View
Every user has visibility to whether the View is Filtered or Protected. A Filtered View has preset criteria that includes or excludes desired data. A Protected View is not able to be edited by any user except those Roles with the permission to manage Protected Views.
When a View is Filtered or Protected, the icons are darkened in the Card View and checked in the List view.
Viewing Records on a View
Once you choose a View, the View is displayed. The View name is shown at the top, preceded by the name of the Table that the View originates on. If the View includes filtering, a green View Filtered box is present.
You can see what filters have been applied to the View by choosing the [Advanced Search] box. A pop-up window will open to display the filters in a gray box. You are not able to change or remove these preset filters; however, you can initiate additional searches to drill the data down even further if desired.
If the View is configured to allow for actions to be taken on additional related records, you will see a dropdown arrow next to the View, Edit, Clone and/or Delete icons (dependent on your Roles permissions).
For example, this View enables you to take action on the Shot records and/or the Product Child record related to the Shot. For this user's Role, the action options are to View or Delete records.
In this example, the View enables you to View, Edit, Clone or Delete Shot, Shot List or Product Children records.
Choosing to View a record (whether it is the Shot, Shot List or Product Child as in the example above), will open that records View form.
Bulk Actions on Records within a View
A View can include Actions from multiple Tables. If the chosen action originates on another table, the action taken against the selected records will apply to the related records. In the example below, two Shot records are selected, but the [Update Color] action chosen (which originates on the Product Child table) will update the color for the related Product Children records.
