SuperViews Updates Release (deployed 1/28/2022)

Modified on Fri, 28 Jan, 2022 at 9:10 PM

What Did We Change?

  • Favorite views are sorted to the top when filtering by table. With the introduction of SuperViews, favorites sorted to the top on the views home page, but not when filtering by table. Now they do!
  • Edit View menu option under the [More...] icon is enabled. For users with the Update View permission, this function was added in the SuperViews release to enable "one click" accessibility to edit the View, but the menu selection was initially disabled due to some issues that were identified during the QA process. This function has been enabled and is working as expected.

What Did We Fix?

  • Dynamic column sorting is retained after taking other actions. The SuperViews release resulted in dynamic column sorting being reset to the view defaults after various user actions. Now custom sorting is retained as in prior releases.
  • Only a subset of views available when configuring a report. The SuperViews release introduced an issue with selecting views for a report that did not display all available views. Fixed!
  • Chart drill down view selection was not behaving. The SuperViews release introduced an issue with selecting drill down views when creating or editing a chart. Fixed!
  • [More Views] button enabled access to views not available to that role. Now the total available views accessible through [More Views] should properly reflect only views available to the role.
  • Search/filter value from views home page was being retained from app to app. When filtering views from the home page in one app, the search value was persisting when navigating to other apps. Fixed!
  • Attempting to clone a role failed with an error. The SuperViews release introduced a bug that prevented cloning a role, presenting an SF-S1003 error. Fixed!
  • Tables was still showing as an option in role visuals. The SuperViews release converted the Tables navigation header to display only for users with specific permissions related to tables, but it was still showing in role visuals as if it could be configured manually for a role. It has now been removed from role visuals.
