ShotFlow workflow from brand (where shot records are located) to studio (where the production work is being done) requires workflows to be configured to share information between brand and studio app(s), as follows:
- Depending on the number of studio apps linked to the brand app, Set/Area assignment workflows must be configured to support each target studio.
- ShotFlow utilizes [Actions] which appear as buttons in the ShotFlow UI, and although there is a [Grid Edit] function as well, it is no longer used for relating records to other records.
- ShotFlow utilizes "Shoots" that can link together multiple Shot Lists into a larger production event with its own attributes such as Start/End Date, an assigned studio app, etc.
For many clients, assigning specific Shots to Shot Lists is not always required, particularly for eCommerce (PDP) workflows. This workflow is often enabled using Shot Retrieval Mode in SF capture, so that scanning a Sample on Set enables retrieval of the required Shots to the current Shot List. Assignment of any of the following object(s) to a related object can be accomplished by configuring one or more [Actions], which appear as buttons in the ShotFlow UI:
- Assign Shoot(s) to a Studio
- Assign Shot(s) to a Shot List
- Assign Shot List(s) to a Shoot
- Assign Shot List(s) to a Set/Area
These "relationship" Actions should be configured by your Brand App Admin or ShotFlow Professional Services to align with your Viewing/Filtering workflow in order to create an optimal production process for your Role, User Story, and brand.
*Please note that Shot Lists should not exceed 300 shots as it may impact performance and cause undesirable issues. The recommend limit of 300 or less shots is for all shot lists assigned to a set (excluding Completed Shot Lists). This means if you have 2 shot lists of 300 shots each, this exceeds the limit; however, 2 shots lists with a combined total of 300 would be acceptable. The more shots you have on a Set, the more it will affect performance.
