How ShotFlow Handles Data Loss/Recovery

Modified on Tue, 20 Sep, 2022 at 12:59 PM

ShotFlow takes snapshots of the data in every app every 24 hours unless the client SLA (xxxx). This snapshot is taken at approximately 1 AM Pacific / 4 AM Eastern daily.

In the event of data loss due to a system/platform issue, the data in each app will be restored from the most recent snapshot.

In the event of data loss due to a client-side issue the process can be found here: Process for Client Initiated Data Corruption

ShotFlow will restore the data based on technical resource availability, but typically this restore can be done same business day.

The data restoration process doesn't typically require users to exit the system or cause any down time, but users may experience unexpected results if the snapshot is restored during active system use, as records will revert to their prior state at the snapshot point (e.g. Shots that were assigned to a Shot List after the snapshot point will no longer be assigned to the Shot List)

Note that in either event (a system/platform data loss or a client-initiated data loss), selective data restore is not supported. For example, restoring a single table of data from the snapshot while retaining the rest of the current data in the app is not supported by the ShotFlow SLA.

Logs for platform are retained for a period of 7 days.
