ShotFlow capture offers multiple ways to filter shots in the list view so that only a subset of shots meeting a criteria will show. You can filter using the filter search box or by activating and deactivating filter options from the View Menu.
From the list view of capture you may filter all shots assigned to all active Shot List(s) on the Set by inputting keywords as they appear in the Shot Titles.
You may input multiple keywords and return shots that match any one of those words. For example, Blue Violet Picture will return any shots with blue, violet or picture in the title. Imagine an “or” operator in between each keyword entered.
Currently, the filter does not support entries of phrases with quotations for the desired outcome of returning only shots with that exact phrase. For example, Blue Violet won’t return only shots containing the exact phrase Blue Violet in the shot title; however, it will return all shots with either blue or violet in the title. If you input quotation marks, no results are returned as this is not currently supported in ShotFlow capture.
You may also choose to filter shots based on their status.
From the View Menu, hover over Visible Statuses to pop open a list of three possible statuses to filter by: Ready, In Progress, and Completed. If a checkmark appears before the status, all shots matching that status will be visible on the list view. You may choose to check or uncheck multiple statuses to obtain your desired result. Note that when you filter by status, an icon shows that the shot list is filtered.
You may also layer the visible statuses filter with the filter search box to narrow your results to an even more detailed list of shots.
When filtering, if you’d like to see the hero shots that may not meet the criteria and/or the shot lists the filtered shots are assigned to, click the parent child toggle icon. To toggle it off just click the icon again.
*Please note that Shot Lists should not exceed 300 shots as it may impact performance and cause undesirable issues. The recommend limit of 300 or less shots is for all shot lists assigned to a set (excluding Completed Shot Lists). This means if you have 2 shot lists of 300 shots each, this exceeds the limit; however, 2 shots lists with a combined total of 300 would be acceptable. The more shots you have on a Set, the more it will affect performance.
