What’s New?
A revamped scanning experience! This is a big bucket of changes, including:
- Product Child identifiers are valid for barcoding. If your item tags utilize a Product Identifier barcode (e.g. SKU) instead of a unique Sample identifier, the app can recognize the product identifier as a valid scan value
- Camera viewfinder is full screen. This provides better visibility when scanning, and a larger area for detecting barcodes.
- Running count of barcode values scanned. The new camera window shows a numeric count of the number of successful scans, to enable easier reconciliation with hand counts.
- Sample list is full screen. Once scanning is completed, the full screen is used for displaying the samples, reducing the need for scrolling.
- Sample list displays the Product Child identifier. When viewing the list of scanned samples, it now displays both the barcode value and the Product Child unique identifier (e.g. SKU), for easier identification.
- Successful Product identifier scans enable selection of correct Sample. If utilizing a Product identifier barcode for scanning, and there is more than one Sample record available for that Product Child, the app presents a selection screen to indicate which Sample is being managed. The user must confirm which sample is correct for each Product Child before moving to the next stage of the workflow.
