What’s New?

A new Talent experience, consisting of:
  • New Add/Remove Talent functionality. If the Shot List has "Manage Talent from Set" enabled, new add [+] and remove [-] icons are displayed in the Talent window. The add [+] icon enables a search window where the user can enter a string for searching the Name field in the Talent table of the Shot List's brand app. Matching records will be displayed with both the Name value of the record and an image thumbnail for the Talent record. Note that only Talent records shared with the Studio will be visible in this window. Refer to this KB article on proper Talent to Studio workflow. The user can select the desired Talent record(s) to add and they will be linked to the Shot List and appear in the Talent window along with any other Talent resources. The remove [-] icon enables removal of a Talent resource that will no longer be used on this Shot List. Removed Talent resources no longer show in the Talent window and are not linked to the Shot List. Talent can also be added by right clicking on Shot Lists in Product Centric Mode.
  • Talent is displayed and managed via on On-Set Roles. The talent window now visually organizes and distinguishes the different types of Talent resources on this Shot List per the new On-Set Role field in each Brand Talent record. Assigned Brand Talent resources with an On-Set Role of “Featured” are shown together at the top of the window. Featured Talent can be toggled between “active” and “inactive” (identical to prior Talent functionality). Active Featured Talent is tagged in metadata and auto-linked to each Shot featuring that Talent resource (identical to prior Talent functionality). Brand Talent resources assigned to this Shot List with a On-Set Role field value of anything other than "Featured“ are shown together and grouped by their common On-Set Role value. These Talent resources are framed in dark gray and cannot be clicked to toggle state. Talent resources that are not "Featured" will not be tagged in metadata or auto-linked to Shots.
  • Support sort in Talent to Shot List relationship. For clients who want to see Talent displayed in the Talent window in a certain order, as well as mirror that order in XMP metadata tagging, Capture now supports a sort in the Talent to Shot List relationship if enabled in the Brand app. All local Capture functions related to multiple Talent records for a Shot List will now reflect the sort order.

  • Aggregation of Talent values in XMP metadata. Now Featured Talent data can be aggregated together as a delimited list in a single field of auto-generated XMP metadata. This behavior is based on the Aggregate nested XMP data using delimiter field setting in the brand app. If a delimiter character is placed in that field setting, it will be used to separate each value in the aggregated XMP field. The order of the listed values will be determined by the sort order of Talent to Shot List (see above). Example values for three Featured Talent resources in which Name, Type, and Status fields are included in XMP metadata tagging, and the sort of Talent to Shot List is set as Talent2, then Talent1, then Talent3:

    Talent_Name="Talent2,Talent1,Talent3

    Talent_Type="Model,Model,Model

    Talent_Status="Active,Active,Active

What Did We Fix?

  • Shot Retrieval not fetching related entities for new Shots until the next sync. In prior releases, the Shot Retrieval process would correctly assign Shots to the Shot List, but not all related data (Product Child, Groupings, etc.) was being populated until the next full sync process. Now all related data is fetched at the point of Shot Retrieval.

Known Issues

  • Style Guide is not showing for path [Shot -> Grouping -> Product Child -> Product Parent -> Style Guide]

Future Enhancements

  • Insanely better Cloning!
  • A preferences panel!
  • Style Guides upgrades!
  • Filtering upgrades!
  • Drag and Drop upgrades!
  • So. Many. Things.
