Modified on Thu, 14 Apr, 2022 at 8:48 AM

Requirements
  • MacOS versions: 11 (Big Sur), 12 (Monterey)
  • Capture One Pro versions: 21 (tested on Big Sur), 22 (tested on Monterey)
  • Adobe CC Versions: 2021, 2022
  • User seat with access to a ShotFlow studio app

Upgrade Procedure from 2.1.8 and higher:

  1. Users will receive an automated upgrade notice. Please note that prior to upgrading, all users should confirm that a ShotFlow Admin has approved this upgrade for your studio. Selecting [Install Update] will download and install the latest ShotFlow capture release on the local machine. Refer to this KB article: Updating ShotFlow capture
  2. If the notification is not displayed, or a ShotFlow capture user has selected [Skip This Version] at a prior point, navigate to Admin -> Check for Updates

IF YOU ARE UTILIZING A RELEASE EARLIER THAN 2.1.8, YOU MUST UPDATE TO A NEWER RELEASE TO ACCESS THE SHOTFLOW CLOUD:

  1. Download the update from Microsoft AppCenter
  2. Extract the files from the ZIP archive
  3. Drag any older ShotFlow capture releases to the trash
  4. Launch ShotFlow capture 2.2.6 and log in

What’s New?

  • Related Products is now Related Items. The former Related Products panel, is now appropriately named Related Items, which can include products, samples, accessories, shot reference data, groupings and/or assets.
  • Lookup fields for Assets and Shot Reference Data. Choose the fields that capture should be referencing/displaying for Assets and Shot Reference Data.
  • Display Images for File Fields. If capture includes a file field and a supported image type exists, then capture will now display the image instead of the url.
  • Load images on Sync. If any image file fields are included in the ShotList, download these on sync if the local Sync - Download Images on Sync menu item is toggled on. This new control replaces the existing Style Guides - Data - Download on Sync field on the Shot List, so that all images will load upon initial sync and be available for Offline use.
  • Wipe Local Data upon Login. To ensure a more consistent experience and reduce opportunities for issues, upon user log in, capture will wipe the local data cache to start "anew."
  • Disabled Offline login. For security reasons, we've disabled offline login to capture. Once logged in, you can disconnect from the internet and go nuts.

What Did We Fix?

  • Cloned Shot doesn't display until after sync. Now, if you clone a shot it will display without the need to initiate a manual sync or wait for the automated sync.

Known Issues (Carried over from prior releases)

  • Style Guide is not showing for path [Shot -> Grouping -> Product Child -> Product Parent -> Style Guide]

Future Enhancements

  • Style Guides upgrades!
  • Filtering upgrades!
  • Drag and Drop upgrades!
  • A preferences panel!
  • So. Many. Things.
