Each client ingest file will be unique and may require additional clean-up; however, here are a few best practices when preparing a file for ingest:
1. Open the existing spreadsheet of data that should be ingested.
2. Highlight all columns and rows of data to be ingested and then copy (using command + c). You can quickly grab all of the data by clicking on the arrow box in the upper left between the first row and first column.
3. Open a new spreadsheet, and then select "paste special". Choose to paste only the values.
4. Use the Find and Replace functionality in Excel to remove all non-breaking spaces. The "Find' value is entered by holding the option key and hitting the spacebar in excel. "Replace" should remain empty.
5. Remove any brackets and slashes from headers and values. You can also utilize the Find/Replace feature, leaving replace blank.
6. If there are multiple tabs, ensure that the tab holding data to be ingested is the first tab in the spreadsheet, all other tabs are ignored by ShotFlow DIE
