Data Ingest Logging and Retention

Modified on Mon, 7 Oct, 2019 at 9:35 AM

ShotFlow Data Ingest creates extensive and detailed logs for every data ingest it processes. This logging consists of two elements:

  1. An Ingest Summary, including: The Ingest UUID, Status, Data Feed (source file name), Configuration, Date/Time and User
  2. A Detailed Log, including: Summaries of all warnings; errors; records inserted, updated, failed, and linked for each Table; and verbose details for each record.

In addition, source files submitted via automated ingest are retained on our secure Box.com account. Files ingested manually by a user are not retained.

ShotFlow's data retention policy for this information is as follows:

  • Ingest Summaries are retained in perpetuity
  • Detailed Logs are retained for 30 days
  • Source files for auto-ingest are retained for approximately 30 days, depending on file size and storage limitations

If you have any questions regarding this policy, or need information about a specific ingest, please submit an email to ShotFlow Support or open a ticket from the portal.
