History of Table Field Revisions

Field Creation/Update


If a user's role includes the permission  "View table field revisions", they will be able to see the historical information about fields: 


Revision Type - The action taken on the field (Created, Updated, Deleted*)

Revised On - Date/Time of the Revision Type

Revised By - Name of User making revision

Name - The Field Name

Description - The Field Description

Default - The Default value for the field

Logged - Check indicates field is Logging is active, X indicates inactive

Protected -Check indicates field Protection is active, X indicates inactive

Required - Check indicates field Required is active, X indicates inactive

Unique - Check indicates field Uniqueness is active, X indicates inactive

Settings - JSON format of conditions for field

   *only visible in the Application Settings for users with "Manage Settings" permissions. More information below in Field Deletion.



To review the historical information about a field: 


1. Navigate to the Table containing the field(s) you are interested in

2. Choose the Edit (pencil) icon next to the number in the Fields column.



3. Identify the Field and choose the Revisions button. System Generated fields are not applicable for Revision History.



4. A pop up will display, showing historical information about the field. The Revisions section displays the values that changed. (For example, if a field had a Default added, a value will show under that column. If it was removed, the field would show as Blank.)




Field Deletion


If a user's role includes the permissions  "View table field revisions" and "Manage Settings", they will be able to see additional historical information about fields to include deletions. 


Name - Name of the Field

Table - Name of the Table field originated from

Deleted On - Date/Time field was deleted

Deleted By - Name of user that deleted the field

History - All of the information found in the Revisions section of the field when accessing from the Table.



To review the deletion history information about a field:


1. Choose the Application Name (clickable if you have the Manage Settings permissions). 

2. Choose the Revisions tab

3. Choose the Fields tab

4. Choosing History will show the same information found by accessing Revisions from the Fields section on the Table.
