Viewing a Chart from either the dashboard (by selecting the View [eye] icon) or selecting the View [eye] button from the Charts page shows the default Chart visualization of either pie, line, bar, or gauge.
From the Dashboard:
From the Charts Section:
Above the visualization, there is a toggle button to switch between the default chart visualization and a table visualization. This toggle shows the identical data, just in a different form. A table visualization (deployed July 2021) presents the source data of the chart with column headers and data in text and/or numeric format.
The same chart, toggled to table view:
In addition to the visualization toggle, there is also an [Advanced Search] button, offering the capability to apply additional filtering to the chart data:
Advanced Search for Charts has the same options as Advanced Search in Views, where [All] and/or [Any] boolean logic can be applied individually or in groups:
- Match All of the following conditions will ensure the results returned include all of the search components in the logical group.
- Match Any of the following conditions will ensure the results returned include records matching one or more of the search components in the logical group.
- To add a new row, click [+Add Row]
- To remove a row, click the Red X.
- To add a group of search components, click [+Add Group]. This creates a new logical group that enables search components to be set by any or all conditions.
- Once parameters are set for an advanced search, there is an opportunity to clone a single level of search criteria by clicking the clone button. This creates another row identical to the source row.
7. Click Search to initiate the query.
8. The chart data will be updated to reflect the additional search criteria.
9. Toggling between the chart and table visualization will reflect the newly filtered data.
Depending on your role permissions, other options may be available when viewing a chart, via the [More] button:
- Print Chart - launches a print dialog via your web browser, with the current chart visualization as the printable area.
- Export Chart - exports the current chart source data (including any additional filtering applied) to a local .CSV file.
