Modified on Tue, 20 Sep, 2022 at 10:10 AM

This article will provide a step-by-step guide on how to Install, Update or Rollback your ShotFlow Capture Application.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Installing ShotFlow Capture

To get a fresh Install of the SF Capture you can access this through our App Center. The App center is a repository of all the latest and earlier Capture Versions which are freely accessible for Download, this provides an option to roll back to an earlier version of the application.

Auto-Update

For every new release of ShotFlow Capture, there is an automated pop-up with the newest and freshest version of the new release notes. This gives you options to either Install, Remind Me Later, or Skip the latest version. Since most of our clients use their technical teams to review new functions before releasing them to the techs.

"Automatically download and install updates in the future" will automatically keep ShotFlow Capture up-to-date without the need for prompting or action.

"Skip This Version" closes the Software Update screen and the app will not update. The Software Update screen will not be presented again until a newer ShotFlow Capture release is available.

"Remind Me Later" will close the Software Update screen without updating, and will present again in 2 hours.

"Install Update" will download the latest version of ShotFlow capture and begin the installation process.

Manual Update

If your company has a firewall or other restrictions, you can also check for updates manually by going to (Admin -> Check for updates).

Upon download and install, you will be prompted to move the ShotFlow capture applications into your applications folder automatically (this is recommended to avoid macOS quarantining issues).

*Please note, If you choose "Do Not Move", don't check the "Do Not Show This Message Again" box, and do not manually move it to the applications folder, then you will be prompted again on the next launch of ShotFlow Capture. If you do not wish to move ShotFlow capture to the Applications folder, then you must check the "Do Not Show This Message Again" checkbox.
